Mission
The mission of the Peter S. Stamas Library / Media Center is to ensure that all students have the opportunity to acquire the skills to access, evaluate and responsibly use information.
The Library Media Specialist provides individual assistance and formal class instruction for students to help them learn to find, evaluate, and use information. The librarian also works with teachers to provide assignments and lessons that enable students to become effective researchers. Skills learned will help students to become lifelong learners as they move on to college and careers.
Reading for pleasure is enthusiastically encouraged. Students are able to borrow from a wide variety of library resources including books, eBooks and audiobooks.
The Library contains over 20,000 volumes, twenty desktop computers, a laptop cart with thirty computers, and an in-house lab with thirty computers. All computers have internet access.
