Why Do I Need
​to Cite?
Correctly citing sources helps you:
  • Avoid plagiarism.
  • Share your sources with teachers and students to let them know where you found your information. 
  • Give credit to the original author(s). When you use an idea in your paper that is not common knowledge (something you and everybody else already knows), you must give credit and document where the idea came from.

What is Noodle Tools?
Noodletools is a organizational system that assists you with composing accurate citations
You can create a works cited list, electronic note cards, and an annotated bibliography.
Noodletools can be used to create citations in various styles including Modern Language Association (MLA), American Psychological Association (APA), and Chicago Manual of Style.
Using Noodletools you can:
  • Keep track of your sources while working on a research paper or homework assignment.
  • Take notes and create electronic notecards, create outlines, collaborate with other students on a group project, create a works cited page.
  • Avoid issues of plagiarism by citing your sources correctly. Make sure that you write down the exact words as you read or heard them to avoid plagiarism.
